I would like advice on a Wyland lucite sculpture.?
I have a lucite sculpture that I bought at an auction while on a Princess Cruise. It is called Big Wave. It has 4 pewter dolphins, 2 adults and 2 calves. It is 13X 11.75X11.5
It is the Artist Proof #1 (of 200). There are 950 signed and numbered “regular” sculptures (total of 1150 which is 950 regular and 200 artist proofs).
I paid $3,300 for it and it was my understanding that I would be getting one of the regular 950, but when it was shipped to me it was the first artist proof. A nice surprise!!!
How would the value of this piece differ from one of the regular 950 signed and numbered regular sculptures (I use the term “regular” because I don’t know what to call the ones that aren’t artist proofs…)
