Chicago, metallic bean – cloud gate sculpture? cleaning?
Who cleans the cloud gate sculpture in millenium park? (more commonly reffered to as “the bean” ? who cleans it and when?
fizzdancepop – I work 2 blocks from THE BEAN and can see it from my office window. I have seen Chicago city workers use brooms to remove snow from the sculpture, but I have never seen anyone ‘clean’ the sculpture. I have seen city workers cleaning up Millennium Park, and cleaning/sweeping around the sculpture, but never doing anything to the sculpture itself.
THE BEAN is made of stainless steel so maybe it doesn’t need cleaning.
