The beach was very crowded on august 8th in panama city Florida where the world’s best sandcastle contest is held every year. Hundreds, possibly thousands of people gathered to watch as the contestants built their castles.
the castles were the biggest sandcastles many had ever seen but there were more than castles and people on the beach that day. The main contest is strictly for sand castles but there is another contest for the best sand sculpture.
there were mermaids, turtles, giant seashells, and much more… all made of sand!I asked one of the sculptors where he learned to create such master pieces such as the winner of the contest, a giant telephone! He said “On the beach, of course”. It was amazing to see what a person can make out of sand.

La playa estaba muy concurrida el 8 de agosto en Panama City, Florida, donde todos los años se celebra el mejor concurso de castillos de arena.
