The island that have the biggest impact on art and cinema is maybe Murano, where the ancient art
of blowing glass and vases production has not changed during the centuries. Nowadays there
are not new techniques to make the special glass of Murano: the result depends most of all on the
expertise and the artistic skills of the glass artisan.
The fascinating Murano glass it’s mostly used in movies set. The actor and actress use frequently
jewels like bracelet, earrings and necklace made with glass of Murano.
In the same way the artists of contemporary art made sculpture with blowing glass of Murano, and
the abstracts figures like lovers are really diffused over the world.
But the contemporary artists, with this precious material, do not made only abstract sculptures,
they made also useful things like decorated tables, lamps, mirrors, and so on.
