how was the italian renaissance different from northern europes renaissance?
i already have this for my essayy.
Northern Europe’s renaissance was very different from the renaissance of Southern Italy. The North kept gothic or middle ages art and architecture longer than Italy did. Architecture, stayed very much Gothic until late into the 16th century. But the art was changing in the north and in many areas it was the same as the Italian ways. The Northern have more urban cities and are based on trade. Their architecture was mainly influenced by classic Greek and Roman work. The northern renaissance was more literary and artistic while the Italian renaissance was more focused on political terms and power issues. The northern concentrated more on religion and perfecting religious values where the Italians were more humanistic by, freeing man from the old traditional attitudes and scriptures which then allowed man to be viewed as an individual and free to work w/ art, literature, sculptures, paintings.
please help its due tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The italian renaissacne had a lot to do with the city-state and its own individual art and its relation to the church. the north Europe had more astronomy, science, and other studies , see more at http://bussinessmouse.googlepages.com
