What should I have the ice sculpture be?
While I think that under most circumstances an ice sculpture is a total waste of money, ours is included in the wedding package at our reception venue and not having it wouldn’t save us any money (I asked, believe me). Since we’re paying for it whether we like it or not, I would like to get something nice.
We were told we could pretty much “have whatever we want” outside of ice luges for drinks. But I have no idea what to choose! I don’t want anything cliche like swans. Maybe our initials would look nice? I’m at a loss… what do you suggest?
Just to clarify, this would be the centerpiece of the escort card table and really wouldn’t be more than a couple of feet tall. So don’t imagine some behemoth behind the head table or anything.
I was actually going to suggest the same thing. One of my sisters had a sea-themed wedding (it was the absoluite most beautiful wedding I have ever been to, hands down) and she had her ice sculpture of a conch and it was tilted and would pour out water. It was gorgeous. My other sister did their initials. The initials are simple, and very much in style right now.
