The IceFest held in Hamilton, Ohio really is a major winter attraction, an art gallery on the main street of the city of Hamilton which covers about 1 km of high street and which has hundreds of ice sculptures.

This event is held every two years in January and attracts thousands of visitors to this city, enhancing tourism and local business economy.

The theme of this year’s festival is “Great Books In Ice” and sculptures showed major attractions on The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter among others.

It was necessary to approximately 200 blocks of ice, equivalent to 40 tons for this event and local sculptors and the rest of the country were responsible for giving life to these extraordinary creations.

The event begins with an exclusive gala “Fire & Ice” to be held in the courtyard of the Hotel Marriot Hamilton (the host hotel of the event)

The schedule of events includes activities such as Fire & Ice Gala, professional and speed carving competition, and the deployment of the sculptures along High Street in Hamilton, OH.
