What unique materials can I use to recreate a famous sculpture?
I’m going to be in an advanced art class next year and as a summer assignment, i have to recreate a famous sculpture. my ideas are either-
an overweight version of the David
OR
making the thinker sitting on a toilet reading a magazine
i just need some ideas on what i should use to make these sculptures. Clay is one idea, but i want something maybe a little bit more unique. Any ideas?

The material isn’t as important as the concept behind the work of art. Go with the overweight David. The Thinker on the toilet has been done already. You could use polystyrene foam carved with a hot wire cutter.
