hey guys i needed help on a project and i need to know what degas is honoring in this sculpture (like more indepth than just dance) please help! Thanks!!!
This little girl was from a poor family and got to take dance lessons because someone in the family knew Degas. She was chosen as the subject for this sculpture because she was so pathetic. She worked extremely hard for very long hours to keep up with her dance classmates and I think all that history shows in the work. Hope this info is helpful.
