project for philosophy about art. need some ideas?
we have to present something in class and create a rubric for evaluation or assessing a piece of art from that field.
it could be anything related to art (eg. sculpture, photography, ballet, music…)
What would you consider putting on rubric for the evaluation?
Art historical content: subject, symbolism, message, reason for message, whether it reflects social, religious, or intellectual trends
Artistic content: style, genre, similarity or dissimilarity to another work, formal or abstract, medium, technique, influences
Elements of style: treatment of light and space, composition, proportion, emotional response, color palette
